An increase of five cases oi infectious and other notifiable diseases iii the Canterbury and West Coast Health districts, as compared with the previous week, was reporter for the week ended noon on Monday. The eases in the Canterbury health district were Scarlet fever, 13; diphtheria, 2; tuberculosis, 7; pneumonic influenza, 3; erysipelas, 3.
