WELLINGTON, September 30. “I want to tell you girls the way hi which you can become even more attractive than you are” said Mr F. S. Pope, at the annual meeting of t>> Young Womens’ Christian Association.” - It is by cultivating pleasant speaking voices.” Mr Pope said he had noticed girls voices were apt to get a little less pleasing and mellow, indeed harsher and more strident with tile active life they led. ‘Exercise a little care,” he said, “and do not shriek and yell and speak in a coarse ugly and nasal voice. If you are careful habitually your voice will become more pleasant and attractive. A pleasant spearing voice is a great asset in a. girl and a greater one in a grown woman.
