STOLEN AEROPLANE

YOUNG MAN’S CRASH. (Australian Press Association) SYDNEY, September 29. As the sequel to his illegally using the aeroplane which crashed at Granville, as cabled on September 21st, Walter Crothers, aged 21 years, came to-day before the Parramatta Court, which ordered him to enter into a bond to come up for sentence within two years if called upon. He was directed to pay £SO, the damage to the plane.

The Magistrate said Crothers was so young that he disliked sending him to prison lor an which was unique. He thought the ends of justice would he served by warning him of the grave danger to himself and others from inexperienced persons trying to fly aeroplanes. Crothers’ only excuse was that he was infatuated by flying, in which he had had some experience.
