VALEDICTORY
At St. Andrew’s Hall on Tuesday afternoon the lady members of St Andrew’s Guild entertained Mrs Hayward at afternoon tea. There was a large gathering of the Gpild members and their friends. Mrs Parkin'll was Chairwoman, During t-he afternoon a photo competition was held, and songs, were rendered by Mesdames Parkhill, Telford, Pridmore, and a duet by Mesdames Telford and MalJoch. A set afternoon-tea was partaken of. . , V' Littlfi Miss Jean Mclntyre presented Mrs Hayd-ard with, a 'bouquet, and Mrs Moore made a presentation on liehalf of the guild of brbmse fruit and nut dishes on ft. stand, after Airs Parkhill had expressed the-''general-, regret felt at. the approaching departure of •Mrs Hayward. The latter expressed her sincere thanks at the kind expressions voiced and the valuable gift received. “For She’s a Jolly . Good. Fellow” was heartly-sang, and at the conclusion the singing of Auld Lang Syne concluded a very pleasant gatliering.
