VANCOUVER, September 23
Bobby Jones took a sensational lead in the United States Amateur Golf Championship by scoring thirtysix and thirty-three 'for the first eighteen Holes.
Sydney Noyes of Yale aged 19, and Doctor Willing of Portland (Oregon) were only one point behind him.. Another sensation was a hole done in one by Maurice McCarthy, the New York Metropolitan Golf Champion. This is a feat which lias not been done for thirteen years,.-
