Functions arranged by the Dtmro Rugby Union for the celebration of its ,Golden Jubilee were commenced to-night, when a successful smoke concert was held at the Early Settlers Hall. Representatives of all periods in the history of the game in Otago were Present, Mr AV. Harris (president of the Union) presiding Air A. E. McPhail (President of the Canterbury Itugb.y Union) proposed the toast of the Otago Union and Afajor King spoke on behalf of the AVellington Union.
