ACCIDENT AT LIME KILN

An accident happened at the Koifcerniigi. lime kiln works this .morning which nearly proved of n very serious nature. The manager, Anchor Madsen, was engnged in the rock face when a fall came down and he was struck on the head and 'body. l£e was knocked unconscious and at firgt it was thought that his injuries were of a most serious nature. Howeveik it was later found that the damage done was not as serious as at first appeared, though Madsen was badly cut about the head and his arms are badly bruised. He was later brought down to Hokitika for medical attention. , , ■, !■ ■'
