SYDNEY, Sept. 21. The' Roseliill races were held yesterday 4 in spring weather, in the presence of a large crowd. 'Fifteen', started,, including Hold--fast, CimaSbue, High Disdain, White Fang, Tom Pinch. First Sight appeared to ibe in a hopless position, hut he,- finished at a terrific hat, and won by a long neck, with half a s length between the second and third horses. Time 1.242 • This is a course record, Cimabue was, fourth. Rosehill .Guineas. —Balloon King 8.5 (Munro) 1, Tregilia 8.5 (Bartle) 2, Sunlover . 8.5, (Bracken) 3. Seventeen started, .-including Vcilniond. Won by half a head, and half a length between second and third. Time 1.523. < Rosehill. Cup,—Cragford 8.5 (A. .j Reed) 1, Gay Crest 8.1 (R. Reed) 2, / In the Shade 8.13 (Bagby) 3. Twenty started, including Crown Area, Waterline, Star God, Bay Acre, Dunraven. >.,,Cragford" won easily by a length and a quarter.
