BRIT!SH FOOTBALLERS. SYDNEY MATCH RECEIPTS. (Australian Press Association) (Received this uay at 10.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 16. The receipts for the three matches in -Sydney against the British Rugbyities amounted to £3,611. and the ground rent and other incidentals expenditure totalled £1,123 leaving nett proceeds of £2,488 whereof New Zealand Union takes half. As the cost ol bringing' the Britishers to Australia amounted to £1,400, the New South Wales Union has asked New Zealand to forego its share of the nett proceeds, otherwise New South Wales will show no profit at all. A reply has not yet been received.
