BRITAIN’S DEBT
TO UNITED STATES. A RUMOUR DENTED. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Oopyrigh t). (Received this rlnv at 9. a.m A LONDON 1 , Sept. 15. The “News Chronicle” on the highest authority,- denies rumours which are being circulated in America that Britain is making representations to Washington with a view to reducing payments of American war debts. The newspaper points out that Britain thus far has paid United States 312,460,000 sterling, of which only 84,230,000 lias been repaid. Capital of £909,452,000 is still outstanding.
