LAKE COLERIDGE

POWER RESTRICTIONS REMAIN

(By Telegrapb—Per Press Association.* CHRISTCHURCH, September 15. In the past two days 103 points ot rain fell at Lake Coleridge. This hasbeen sufficient to maintain the lake level to-day. When full effect of the rains in the basins of the feeder streams is felt at the lake to-morrow, the level should rise, but not considerably. The rain has been light and warm, and one of its important effects will be the melting of the snow. The north-west winds dropped this evening and a light drizzle fell from the east. The indications were that this would soon give place to a cold dry southerly. The restrictions on the use ot power are still unrelaxed and the city streets remain dark.
