HON. W. B. TAVERNER’S COMMENT. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association WELLINGTON, Sept. 10. Nothing is being said about the Arapuni breakdown by the Alinifster of Public Works (Hon. W. B. Taverner) until the report of Professor Hornell, the Swedish expert, has been received by the Government. The Minister explained that his visit to Arapuni at the week-encl was made purely as a result of ail arrangement with Professor Hornell that he should visit Arapuni and discuss various points with the Professor “on the spot.” The Alinister made it clear he could not anticipate the report the . professor would later make. Air Taverner was also unable to say when the expert’s report would b<e submitted, although he indicated it would l>o preferable to have the report before the session of Parliament ended.
