The West Coast forwards made frequent excursions into Wellington territory, but only once managed to net. Miss 0. Stapleton, who played a fine game throughout, was the scorer. For Wellington Misses Maull (2), Hnrper (2), and Foreman secured goals. In Thursday’s game West Coast gained the victory over Southland B by one goal to nil. After the interval the Maroons strove hard to equalise, but the defence proved stout, and West Coast deserved their win.
