REDUCTION IN STAKES FOR NOVEMBER MEETING. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 3. There will be a reduction of £2050 in prize money at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s November Meeting, as compared with last year, so the committee lias decided. The main cuts are:—Canterbury Cup by £3OO, Stewards’ Handicap £2OO, Stead Gup, Criterion Handicap, Jockey Club Handicap, Members’ Handicap, Fendalton Handicap, Stoneyhurst Handicap, all by £IOO each. The cause is decreased revenue. The New Zealand Cup is not affected.
