HOKITIKA DRAW AGAIN. ; (By Telegraph—Per Press Association.| INVERCARGILL, September 2. The New Zealand Ladies’ Hockey Championship for the K Cup was advanced a further stage this afternoon. The games were played at the Show Grounds, owing to the greasy state of Queen’s Park, and it proved a move in the right direction. Though a little on the heavy side, the Show Grounds provided players with an excellent turf and the general standard of play was improved in consequence. The weather was fine, and over five hundred were treated to some sparkling exhibition of hockey.

Wellington representatives, with, six points, are leading in the A Section, and there seems little doubt but that they null play in the final for the Cup. The B Section at present stands in an interesting position. Though Eastern Southland A team are ahead of both Southland A and Otago, by two points, there is at present no certainity that they will emerge victors in this section. Manawatu fully extended them in to-day’s game. Should Eastern Southland A be defeated by Otago, then Southland A, Eastern Southland A, and Otago will be level.
