NEW ZEALAND ECLIPSE EXPEDITION

PERSONNEL ANNOUNCED. (By Telegraph--Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 3. Six names were announced yesterday as til© personnel of the New Zealand Eclipse Expedition, which is to take observations of tlie total eclipse of the sun in the inid-Pacific. The expedition will he led by Doctor O. E, Adams, F.R.A.S., Dominion astronomer. He will he' accompanied by Dr William C. Burns (Timaru), and Messrs W. EB. De Montalk (Wellington), F. Goweth, F.R.A.S., (Eltham), P. W. Glover, B.Sc., F.R.A.S. (Wellington), and C. B. Michie (Kaiatia). All are enthusiastic astronomers. Tlie party leave Auckland by the Niagara on September 23rd and disembarks at Suva. From Suva they will be taken by the H.M.S. Laburnum to the Island itself known popularly as the “Tin Can Island.”
