During luncheon Pipers marched round the Castle walls, while Their Majesties, drank from the silver beaker, the “Lion of Glamis,” used to pledge all babies born at Glamis.
It is understood that the name chosen for the baby Princess will not be announced till the birth is regis-, tered at Glamis Post Office. This must be done before Sept. 11th. THE PITHER CASE. Mrs Pither (who, as cabled on August 25th. is accused of making a false birth registration in connection with the alleged disappearance of a baby), was arrested at Southend, where she had been hiding for a fortnight. Supercharged Sunbeam Six, broke the world’s record for two hundred miles, covering the distance in one hour 42 seconds, and averaging 117.65 miles an hour. GREAT CATHEDRAL. , LONDON, Sept. 1. POLISH POLITICS. WARSAW, Stept. 1. A suspicion that Marshal Pilstikski’s recall to the Premiership of Poland presages a definite dictatorship is strengthened by the President’s proclamation dissolving the Parliament, because he despairs of it making the re quisite constitutional changes. The elections are fixed for November 16.
