GOLFING
WEST COAST TOURNAMENT. ' J The West Coast tournament was brought to a successful conclusion on Saturday, when the finals of the two championships were played. There was a large attendance of spectators and the games were followed with interest. In the men’s championship the final was played between two Westport aspirants, Mr A. Sime retaining his championship for another year, defeating Mr Park by 7 and 6. The final of the ladies championship was fought out between Airs Slee, of Westport, last year’s champion, and Aliss Aloore, of Hokitika, the latter proving successful by 6 and 5 and becoming lady champion for the year. A Flag Alatch resulted in Adamson winning, he putting the flag on the 19th green. Ladies foursome flag handicap was won by Airs Hannan and Miss Berry. Ladies bogey handicap was (won iby Alias P. Wilson. Tlie mixed foursome handicap resulted in a tie between Air and Mrs Cooke 94, and Mr and Mrs Cox 94. RECORD AT GOLF. WELLINGTON, Sept. A. Playing at Miramar golf links- at the week-end Arthur Duncan, made a hrllliant round of 69. Bogey for the course is 75.
