RAZOR SLASHING. (Australian Press Association.) (Received this day at 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, Sept. 1. There has been a recurrence of razor slashings lately. John Penfold, aged 30, was attacked by five men in a house. One held him while a second rendered him unonscious with punches and a third drew a razor across his throat requiring thirteen stitches to close the wound. Another man visited a hospital with extensive slashes on his head and side of the face but refused to give any information, saying: “I will even it up in my own wav.”
