MANY REFUSE; TO OBEY,

(Australian Press Association) (Received this day at 9.40 a.m.) ADELAIDE, Aug. 30. A strike of drivers ordered by the South Australian Branch of the Carters and Drivers’ Union has commenced, but a large number refused to obey the order. Seamen have given notice to cease work. The strike is intended to afford practical support to the Waterside Federation in its demand for the removal of volunteers from the wdiarves at Port Adelaide.
