BOARDS TO CONFER, (By Telegraph—Per Press Association WELLINGTON, Aug. 28. A conference of Secondary School Boards is being called by the Wellington College Board of Governors to consider the Recess Committee’s report on education, The conference is to he held in Wellington on September 11th and 12th. The suggestion that such a conference he held came from the Governors of the Otago High School in a telegram which stated that they understood that the Education Boards’ and Technical Boards’ Conferences would l>e meeting in Wellington about September 10th and 11th to"-consider the report. The Minister had intimated that he would approve of a Secondary School Board conference also. The officers of the Education Board had suggested that the Education, Technical and Secondary Boards should meet separately about the dates mentioned, and then combine later, the arrangements for the later meeting to he made by the. Education Board. . In deciding to agree to the suggestion Wellington College Board ol Governors appointed its chairman, Mr W. LT. P. Barber, and Mr E. W Kano, as its representatives.
