LONDON BONDHOLDERS. (Australian Press Association.) SYDNEY, August 28. Professor Gregory (a member of Sir O.' Niemeyer’s banking missio.i), upon his arrival at .Sydney fo-day from Adelaide, declared that if Australia repudiated her foreign debts, the London bondholders probably would organise and begin an action for recovery. He added: “Tiere is a Council of Foreign Bondholders in London, to protect the rights of bondholders in cases of this sort.” Professor Gregory, sails for England, via New Zealand and America aboard the Ulimaroa tomorrow. Sir Otto Niemeyer remains here for a couple of weeks longer. RISE IN GOVERNMENT STOCKS. SYDNEY, August 28. Government securities are now in popular demand on the Sydney Stock Exchange. The holders are not anxious to sell, except at enhanced prices. Six issues recorded advances to-day of Is 3d to ss.
