ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
Messrs M. Houston and Co. report:—At the above sale yesterday there was a good attendance of buyers but unfortunately the total yarding of cattle was exceedingly small, noft ibeisg anywhere near [sufficient for the requirements of butchers, many of whom went away short of their usual supply. There was only 57 head of fat cattle yarded, of which our entry comprised 24 head. So far as butuhers were concerned it was merely a case of having to buy, irrespective of the price. Some pens realised 1 fully 55s per hundred, the average being from 50s to 525.
We sold as fellows:—On account of W. F. Dedrichs 2 bullocks at £ls 17s 6d, 2 at £l6, 1 at £22 2s 6d, 1 at £2O, 2 at £2O 17s Gd, 2 at £16 s lob 2 at £ls los, I at £l6 7s 6d, 1 at £l7 2s 6d, 1 at £lB 15s, 2 at £l6 15s, 1 cow at £l2, 1 at £lO 7s 6d, 2 bullocks at £ls os; on account of<. T Staines 1 cow at £8 7s 6d, 1 at ££• 17s 6d, 1 af £5.
