At Hamilton, the howling tourney at the Empire Games, concluded on Friday with a match for second place in the singles between Fielding (New Zealand) and Thoms (South Africa) the latter winning by 21—15. MONTREAL, Aug. 22

At Hamilton ii) the bowling singles, Colquhuon (England) 21 beat Fielding (New Zealand) 19 in the third straight victory for the Englishman and third title for Britain. .

The rink doubles and'.single match to-day was productive of the best bowling of the week. Colquhoun met his strongest foe in Fielding. During the game the score tied and the New Zealander scored two on the 20th. end to go 1 up. Colquhuon laid the first two bowls against kitty and the third only inches away. Fielding was short with his first three, and his final was a draw shot well laid, but inches away from kitty just behind CJolquhuon’s third bowl.

Tfie British Empire Games will continue to-day.

At a meeting of officials of the Games in progress here it was decided to form a British Empire Sports Federation to consist of three representatives from each country in the Commonwealth -with J. F. AVadmore (Manager of (the English team) as decretory and treasurer, and with headquarters in London. Other officials will be named when the committee is formed. The new organisation will foster little Olympics each four years, competitors to be confined to. the Empire. All expressed the opinion that the Games should continue and that tli© new organisation would do much to foster athletics,

The next meeting will he in South Africa and New Zealand has applied for the 1938 meeting, but a decision was not made. The Federation will apply to the various Governments and an a,peal or financial and moral support will be made. The matter is expected to be disouseed at the Imperial Oonferenoe in London next month.
