EDUCATION AND COST. Probably prior to the appearance of the Atmore Committee’s report the general public of the Dominion had no conception that the education system—primary, secondary, and university—was in such a way that the introduction of a revolutionary pro- -| cess was necessary to put it right. Its reflections were mostly comprehended in the view that the system is costing the Dominion a great deal of money. However, the Education Committee has certainly provided material for discussion, and much interest will attach to the considered views and criticism from competent sources evoked bv its recommenda- J\ tions concerning higher education. fV
