Wood, President of the New South Wales Rugby Union, and other officials gave the British Rugby Team a hearty welcome at the wharf this morning. Mr Baxter told the interviewers about their wonderful tour of Now Zealand, how well it had been organised, and the remarkable crowds which had witnessed the matches. Many of the players, he said, were at present perturbed at the sinking of the Tahiti. They had posted all sorts of things on her. The Britishers later were accorded a reception at Hotel Australia.
