Messrs: 11. AL . Coulson and J. N. Robinson reported on the interview' with the Borough Council re boat sheds at Lake Kanieri, the Council ageeiiig to approve of the motion pased saiii© tillle ago that it had po Objection to til© boat sheds remaining in their present position.
After some discussion It was resolved oil' the motion of Ml' Con Ison, seconded by Mr W, Gooch, that n small committee consisting of the President, the Secretary (Mr McGeorge), Mr Robinson and the mover, arrange a deputation to the Commissioner of Crown 'Lands with the request that the matter of the boatshed be reopened. A letter was received from the Wellington Outboard Motor Boat 'Club suggesting a conference on a date to be named to frame regulations for the governing of outboard motor racing throughout the Dominion. The suggestion met with the unanimous approval of the members and it was resolved to reply to that effect and ascertain the dale of such conference; also that this Club he renreesnted at such conference. , In order to meet the expenses of delegates to conferences or representatives at regattas it was resolved that voluntary contributions l>e invited.
On the motion- of Mr Coulsbn, seconded tv Mr McTiitoslv,. the Regatta Committee (the President. Secretary, and Messrs Robinson,- Park, Andrews afid Hart) be re-elected and arrange for the regatta to be held on Labour Bay.
It was resolved that the race, lor the Mclntosh Cup be arranged by the Regatta Committee and the final heat be raced on some date prior to the Labour Bay regatta. On the motion of Air Robinson it was resolved that in handicap events each boat entering must do three or more officials laps to have the time taken, and that if any boat in the race reduces its time hv two and a half minutes or more it shall he disqualified.
Two new members were elected to the Club. It was stated during the evening that the Kanieri Club is the oldest of its kind in New Zealand. Since its formation several others have been formed.
