SERIOUS FIRE OUTBREAK

A serious outbreak of fire occurred in a two storeyed block of business premises in Victoria .Street- last night, the top storey being glutted, while water caused great damage to' the stocks in three shops, comprising a lower storey wooden building among the oldest, in the town owned' by F. S. Veale, of Ta-mahere. The top storey, where the lire started, was occupied by A. L. McCullough, photographer, while the other shops were occupied by C. F. Lange, stationer and fancy goods dealer, Chris Shotbolt, inercer, H. P. Sharp, hairdresser and tobacconist.
\ The insurance on the building are £750 in the South British. Insurance on stocks, C. F. Lange £9OO in the Atlas Coy. H. P. Sharp £3OO in the Royal Office. . S. Skotbolt was covered in the British Traders office. McCullough had £75 on a piano in the National Office, the only insurance.
