ROTORUA BLANDER CASE. • Mv THcgmph; Per Press Abjociation.) ROTORUA, August 13. The Rotorua slander case Smith v., Hulton, which Mr Hampson appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Roe for the defendant, ended this afternoon, after a great quantity of evidence had been given in respect to the claim.
The Magistrate, Mr Paterson, summed up in a scathing indictment of the defence, and the conduct of defendant, awarding damages on the first cause of plaint of £2O, and on the two second causes of £IOO each.
