MR Y. WARD ELECTED. vßy Telegraph—Press Association). INVERCARGILL, Aug. 13. The bye-eleetion for the Invercargill Seat in Parliament was held to-day, when about- 9,803 votes altogether were cast. The returns, apart from the postal and absentee votes yet to come in, give a majority for the United candidate, Mr Vincent Ward, over Mr ITargest (Reform), of nearly fiv|e hundred votes. Mr V.
