DOMINION ITEMS.
A/ BISHOP’S SERMON. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association). WELLINGTON, August 7. In a sermon last night, Bishop Williams of' Waiapu, contrasted the amount of money spent on amusements with that given to mission fields. He pointed out that over fifty thousand in cash would be taken in gate money alone for British football matches, and the total spent would probably be a quarter of a million. To that could be added twelve and a half millions expended on racing, tennis, golf, pictures etc. All they could find for missions was eighteen thousand, but if they denied themselves one per cent, of amusement, they would have fifty thousand.
