Drastic Changes in the policy of the -Davis Cup Competition are under con-' .sideration. This has been indicated by ; thej American tennis officials. The President, Mr Louis Bailey, 'of the United States Lawn Tennis Association,; said he would advocate that next year’s quest of the Cup should be undertaken without the long ~months of arduous preparation now involved. Mr. Joseph Wear, Chairman of the Davis Cup Committee, said that when lit last, the United States succeeded in recovering the trophy, he favoured holding the competition every two t years instead of annually.
