THE FINAL TEST. WARNER’S VIEWS (United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright). i i (Received this day a* noon.) LONDON, Aug. 3. Warner, in the “Morning Post,” discussing the prospects of the final test, says the impression the earlier- tests leaves is that the Australians are a better team. Though England possesses fine individual players, the side does ;iot seem to blend as a. combination, largely owing to the lack of all rounders. Our batting has not quite reached expectations despite individual good efforts. Leyland has not done all that was expected of him. His length is inadequate. Parker is a. most effective left-hand bowler, but being 46 years of age is a poor bat and field. Nevertheless, if a soft wicket is assured he would strengthen the bowling. Chapman is an inspiring leader, but seems to have declined a little as n tactician.
