According to a message from Hamilton, Ontario, where the Empire Games are’shortly to begin, practically all of the New Zealand and Australian athletes have got down to work there. They express the greatest satisfaction with the comfort of their quarters. The New Zealand scullers are fraternising with members of the local JLeander. Club with whom they will train. The arrival of the Australians nnd New Zealanders has renewed enthusiasm and interest in the Games. The 'four and eight-oared shells for the New Zealand scullers have arrived as well as Pearce, the Australian, today. The New Zealand coxswain, A. E. Eastwood, who has been ill, is now out of the hospital.
