ALIVE AFTER 12 YEARS. ■ There was a dramatic meeting between two ex-soldiers at Pou-lton-le-Fvlde (near Blackpool) Station recently. One, who was thought to have been killed, spoke to the other, who 12 years ago reported his death. Both men took part, in an attack on a German post at Kemmell Hill, from which Mr Bowden, who lives-near London, did not return. His friend, Mr A. R. Roberts, of Poulton, thought him dead But he was on the platform when, to his amazement, Mr Bowden alighted from a train. It transpired that Bowden was taken prisoner during the attack, and all subsequent efforts to’ trace each other had failed. Cooke Kettle, of Towyn, Merioneth, who left £146,758. He left a list of relatives and friends among whom he wished his wife to distribute £ISOO. The proceeds of the sale of his yacht, dinghies and tackle he gives to the Lifeboat Institution. A nephew, James Archibald Hamilton, is left £SOO r< in token of admiration, for his father, who gave his life for his King and country in the Great War.” TOO ANXIOUS 7.0. Said to have held up, among others, the car in which Prince George was riding, Frank Weill and, Teddington Divisional Education Officer, was summoned at Feltham for causing five minutes obstruction with his car in .!
