BRITAIN. SHOWS DECLINE.

The ,decline in .Britain's shipbuilding position in relation to the rest of.‘the world is revealed, in Lloyd’s returns for the' quarter ended June 30th. They show, out of , 3,057,000 tons which are. being constructed throughout ,the world: that 1,392,000 or 45.5 per cent is ■ being, built in Great. Britain and Ireland and J,665,000 or 54.5 per cent abroad, while the average percentages; for the last twelve months before the war were 57.2 for ' Great -Britain' bifid Ireland and 42.8 abroad, r
