HOKITIKA CLUB’S DISPLAY.
FINE ARRAY OF BIRDS.
The annual poultry, pigeon and canary show of the Hokitika Society was opened in the Drill Hall this afternoon. A very fine array of birds greets the eye. It is easily the best show under the auspices of the local Club, the number and quality proving very satisfactory. The judge, Mr C. Bradford, had completed his work by 1 o’clock and the hall was thrown open to the public at 2 o’clock .ihere being a fair attendance present. The Show will be open again this evening and all day tomorrow. Hnt ran tie by the Horticultural Hall door in Camp Street. The various officers were in attendance and with the energetic secretary (Mr F. Ballinger) had the' arrangements for the Show very complete. The following is the list of awards:—
