HOKITIKA 5 v. UNITED 0,
At the Recreation Ground yesterday afternoon Hokitika defeated United by 5 goals to nil, after an interesting and hard game. Goals for the winners were scored by Miss Olsen (3), Mrs Butson and Miss O. Stapleton. Mr J. Sloss was referee.
MAWHERA 5 v. KOKATAHI 1
At Kokatahi yesterday afternoon, after a good game, Mawhera defeated Kokatahi by 5 goals to 1. Mi,sses Furness (3), McGrath and Mrs Holder scored for Mawhera, whilst Miss L. Monk scored for Kokatahi.

DANNEVHIKE, July 9,
The first challenge hockey match of the. season for the Nordon, Cup, held by Dannevirke, was played here this afternoon between the holders and Wanganui (challengers). The game resulted in a win for the v&pLi tors by two goals to one, after a j keen,; fast 1 contest. Wanganui were superior on the after noon s piny- V. : l/atham arid J. Tizard scored for the winners, : and if. Smith for the losers. Dannevirke have held the trophy foi three 'yetifs.
