ENQUIRY FINDING

DELHI, July 7
; The civil and military action in firming to suppress riots at Peshawar on April 23rd has been entirely upheld by an inquiry committee, who pay a tribute to the courage, resume and forbearanee, of the men under great provocation. The committee is of opinion that armoured, cars are unsuit r able for the conditions prevailing in Peshawar, and they suggest the thorough consideration of the question of employing cars in quelling cnil disorders.
The Government rff India endorse" the report, and promises „to consider the recoinmondation.s.
VARSITY BOYCOTT
DELHI, July 7
One thousand students were unable to sit for their law examination at Calcutta University yesterday. This was owing to picketting by Nationalist Congress volunteers, who included fifty women of high-caste Indian families.
Every entrance to the hall was 'docked, and those candidates who refused to leave were bodily removed.
