The financial statement of the Treasurer (Mi; Stevens) for the year discloses that the deficit in the consolidated revenue account together with that of the railways and tramways amounts approximately to £4,394,000. The deficits are :—Consolidated revenue £2,','00,000, and tramways £300,000. Almost every iem in public revenue lias fallen sharply. QUEENSLAND GOVERNMENT ACTION. BRISBANE, July 7. The Crown Law Office has been asked bv Premier Moore to advise the Government as to the necessity for or the nature of further action consequent on the Mungana-Chillagoe report. Premeier Moore said Mr Theodore’s assertion that the sole aim was to assassinate him politically was without foundation.
