NATIVES ARRESTED.

Five men have been arrested in connection with a recent affray at Papa, in Savaii, when Constable Grant was injured. It is reported that Grant is progressing favourably. The Administrator left on Monday on a visit round Upolu. In his absence his secretary, Mr Turnbull, is acting as administrator. The Tofua. which left earlier in the week, carried eleven and a half thousand cases of bananas for Auckland. INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. APIA, July 3. Evidence pointing to incendiarism as the cause of the recent fires in the native depni'tmeot of Mulimui and in the post office at Apia.. The police are offering a reward \of £SO for the discovery and conviction of offenders.
