Boersen courier reports serious •shortage of food, ofothing and necessities in Moscow*. Butter in the Country is now 26s 6d per pound and . most rationed foodstuffs are unobtainable at Government co-operative stores.'; Eggs are only issued for children’s consumption. The supplies . of -slaughtering cattle have stopped while dotting, footwear and other necessities a,r e almost unobtainable at any price. Meantime, within the last five months there has been ,a heavy deflation in note circulation. The courier adds: “If this is the state of affairs in. the pampered capital whose workmen are on the basis of Bolshevism, what must it 'be in the less favoured provincial towns.”
