In the first round of the Club Championship played on Saturday, Wilson won 'by default from Gilpin; Steel ; beat Irwin 4 and 3; /Gheshey beat Baker 4 and 3; Adamson beat Neville 2 and 1.
In the B Championship Cox beat Cooke 4 and 3; O’Doherty beat Ko rtjegast 2 and, 1; Houston 'bean Caliari 2 and 1; Finerty beat HayeS 4 and 3. ■ f , ' ,
The result of the -Bogey handicap played on Saturday:— Cox, 15 handicap. 2 up. Baker, 18 handicap, 1 down. Chesney, 4 handicap, 3 down. Finerty, U handicap, 4 down. Ranger 23 handicap, 4 down.
