AT ARAPUNI

(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, June 19. Mr Ransom, to-day told the New Zealand Workers’ Union deputation that he would refer to the Premier and the Public "Works Minister its request that the Government should appoint an inspector at Arnpuni, from the ranks of the men, in order to safeguard the interests of the men engaged on the job. The deputation stressed the dangerous nature of the job. The Minister said it was not a question of expense, but of dual control. He read a telegram from Mr Tavener that lie had given instructions that Mr Semple was to be given every facility for making an inspection of the work at Arapuni.
