In the course of the unemployment debate in the Commons Mr Lloyd George said the Prime' Minister had indicated he was prepared to put in operation an invitation, which he extended to both /parties some weeks ago, to co-operate with the Government in a solution of what was after, all a national problem.. “I hav c accepted the invitation and the whole of the conditions laid down by the Prime Minister.” .

Mr Lloyd George added lie agreed that mere expenditure of money upon things, which were not in themselves productive, ivould not only leave the problem unsolved but would aggravate as the money ought to be spent with a view to reconditioning and re-equipping the nation.
