MOSLEMS ATTACK HINDUS

DELHI, June 11

An infuriated mob of one thousand, armed with spears and dagger* attacked a party of police in a village near Calcutta last night. The police then opened fire killing one and injuring many.

Four hundred have been injured as the result of serious clashes between Hindus and Moslems in Baroda C'ity, and in the town of Katadwanjin, m Barpda State. The trouble started over the stoning of Moslem, who attacked the Hindus, and also the police whose protection the latter sought lot l their procession. The procession was dispensed, but the Moslems ..continued to attack the Hindus, and they burnt several of their houses. Armed police are now. guarding Baroda City. “ Further ‘ clashes between Moslems and Hindus occurred in Caeca, i_K Eastern Bengal, the scene of recent riots. In retaliation for burning of their houses, the Moslems stoned the Hindus, and then fierce fighting insued. It was quelled with difficulty by the police.
