BUY NEW ZEALAND TIMBER;
The causes of depression in the timber industry of New; Zealand are interestingly analysed in an article which Air A. Seed, secretary of the Dominion Federated Sawmillers’ Association, contibutes to the June- issue of the Auckland Chamber ,of Commerce. Journal)' One main cause, he states, is undoubtedly the increased and needless (and at times senseless) use of imported and ' foreign -wood and substitutes. "There Js indeed need for wider realisation and appreoii(tioii jr of the fact that the prosperity of the Dominion and a cure for uncniploy--meut depend, lipcm increased industrial activity, . which can best and most quickly be brought about by j'ealous adherence to the sentiment of demanding New Zealand products first and always.
