HAMILTON. June 11
In Hamilton Supreme Court, Walter John Butters, aged 19 years, was found guilty of indecent assault on the five year old daughter of his employer at Morrinsville. Sentence was postponed. After the jury had been empanelled for some 'time in the case in which Robert Edward Young, a v young man of Hamilton East, was charged with an unnatural offenc-e, counsel asked leave to consult his client, and subsequently intimated that lie would substitute a plea of guilty. Sentence was postponed.
CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE.
WELLINGTON, June 10,
The Council of the Wellngton Chamber of Commerce last evening decided to make application to the Associated Chambers of Commerce that the British Congress be held in Wellington.
MOTOR CAR.ACCIDENT,
CHRISTCHURCH. June 10
Arts R. AV. Dockland of Western terrace, Cashmere, was seriously injured when a motor car in. which she was riding collided with a bus' this morning.. She was taken to the hospital her condition being serious.
£IO9O COMPENSATION
CHRISTCHURCH, June 10,
The Arbitration court to-day granted a claim for £IOO9 sterling, damages made by Lena Frances Higgins against Ricrtuton Borough Council for the death of her husband, AVilliam Lawrence Higgins, a linesman, who collapsed after work, death being due to, strain and influenza.
