BE OF GOOD CHEER.
CRISES
There are moments in a lifetime, Lurid as the shafts that fly, When the Storm-god’s loosened ar- / rows
Flash across the midnight sky. Moments crammed with revelation In their all-revealing hue, Piercing unsuspected armour, And the false we thought was true Flashes of the vision splendid, Longed-for, and at last revealed ; And we know the fight is worth it, Though we perish on the- field. There are moihents in a lifetime, Fraught with such immensity ■ They are plucked from Time's frail fingers, Destined for Eternity.
—G. S. Astins
