RACING MOTORISTS KILLED

, SYDNEY, June 9. The racing motorists Reginald Brearley and Albert Elliott attempting to lower a time record between Sydney and Melbourne crashed into a roadside embankment near Junning. The 1 car somersaulted several 'times and both men wore killed.

The cleatli sentence which was imposed on Charles Britten, aged fifty years, who murdered his wife at Tamworth on March 20, has been commuted to life imprisonment.
